“We wanted better Guides. So we wrote them” is what it says on the Insider Guides website and I certainly wouldn’t dispute their claim!

The Good Value Restaurant is exceptional value at just $14.90 as an instant download. It contains 105 pages full of good information about how to get the best value when eating out in Paris and has a substantial list of Restuarants all of which have been tried and tested by the author, Adrian Leeds.

Many of these restaurants just won’t be found in a regular tourist guide as many of them are “used by the locals” rather than being tourist eateries. You’ll find a complete new dining experience by trying some of these local haunts and doing as the locals do.

I found the information on etiquette very interesting, highlighting the cultural differences. In particular the “do’s & dont’s” section is really useful, giving tips about how to get great service and how not to get ripped off!

Here’s what Author Adrian Leeds says…

“I never stop looking for the ultimate good-value meal. Most of the restaurants found in the guide books are expensive, but on my own I have found restaurants native Parisians frequent that were as good or often better and less expensive! Now, after years of research, my guide proves that dining in Paris doesn’t have to be expensive, all while enjoying the fine cuisine the French have to offer.”

And what the Insider Paris Guide site says… Insider Paris Guide for Good Value Restaurants

“Adrian Leeds has been scouting good-value restaurants in Paris for more than nine years. The Insider Paris Guide for Good Value Restaurants is her ongoing effort to bring you secrets to great dining in all the districts of Paris. There are more than 200 good-value restaurants in the guide—and she samples each and every one and only recommends the best.

Parisians enjoy a wide variety of multi-national cuisine, so the guide includes lots of traditional French restaurants, plus authentic ethnic cuisine and speciality restaurants, too. Adrian purposefully ferrets out those restaurants not well-known by tourists and cater to a native Parisian clientele, so that you feel very at home in Paris among the Parisians.

There are no other restaurant guides written for Paris like the Insider Paris Guide for Good Value Restaurants. Each and every restaurant has been researched and tested by Adrian before it qualifies for the guide. Restaurants have not paid to be part of this guide. Each is listed solely because it’s a great bargain for the quality.”

If you’re heading for Paris, this is essential reading, perhaps even luggage as taking a copy of this with you could save you a lot of time and money.
